Electrical Project Manager

Plymouth

Salary - 50k - 70k plus Car Allowance

Very competitive PAYE option available day rate outside IR35 available, subject to experience

We are looking for a Electrical Project Manager to join a reputable MEP contractor in Plymouth. The company offers career progression, has great staff retention, excellent company benefits as well as a car allowance on top of your basic salary.

Job Description

  • Good working knowledge / experience and application of NEC3 / 4 Options A / C / E forms of contract.
  • Good working knowledge / experience and application of BSRIA guide BG6 design framework for building services.
  • Minimum 5 years Project Management experience required.
  • Trade or higher qualifications in their relevant discipline.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work on their own, as part of a team and lead a team to review the scope and determine requirements to deliver the works required.
  • Act as lead for the system / package of works.
  • Work in the spirit of the Contract and Company ethos.
  • Ensure coordination with other departments i.e. H&S / Quality / Commercial / Document Control / Design / Estimating / Other disciplines.
  • Engage, build relationships, collaborate, and coordinate with the Client / Consultant / Contractor / Subcontractor.
  • Cost forecasting.
  • Labour / resource forecasting.
  • Procurement of Subcontractors and equipment.
  • Input, production and maintenance of the programme / schedule of works.
  • Risk identification, management and mitigation.
  • Lead and undertake Consultant / Client / Contractor / Sub-Contractor design reviews.
  • Production and / or Management of CDP Designs / technical submissions / H&S / Quality documentation, inspections and reviews.
  • Create and manage the logistics plan.
  • Production of O&M manuals.
  • Manage security requirements.
  • Manage the delivery of on site works including testing & commissioning.
  • Management of Subcontractors with the above items.
  • Apprentice mentoring.
  • Line management and reviews of persons under their control and management.
  • Reporting of the above in accordance with the Project and Company protocols, procedures and systems.
  • Laptop and relevant software licenses provided.
