Job descriptionIdeally 5+ years of proven estimating experience in Civils or Main Contracting HNC or degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering Familiarity with various Forms of Contract, including JCT and NEC, and methods of measurement like SMM7 and NRM2 Experience in Design & Build as well as traditional construction methods Strong communication and team collaboration skills Excellent interpersonal and organisational abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office Experience with Microsoft Project or other project planning software Knowledge of estimating software Site experience is an advantage

Estimator / Senior Estimator
Construction & Civils Solutions Ltd are seeking a talented Estimator with a Civils or Building background on behalf of a client of ours.
Our client are based in South Lanarkshire.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and negotiate tender submissions for Civil / Building projects
- Review incoming tenders and assess contract potential
- Conduct measurement and quantity take-off from drawings
- Produce Bills of Quantities
- Source pre-project information and assess subcontractor quotations, agreements, and enquiries
- Build tender pricing from first principles based on scope, plans, specifications, and programme
- Cost planning and preparation of tender reports for adjudication
- Attend pre- and post-contract interviews and client meetings
- Obtain and circulate feedback on submitted bids
- Investigate cost-effective and alternative solutions
- Input data into estimating software
- Maintain awareness of latest estimating techniques and industry standards
- Carry out other related duties as needed
