Full-time position, September 2024 Start

We are working with a brilliant school in Swindon to find the perfect candidate to join the team in September 2024, for the new academic year as a School Mental Health Worker. The school is a specialist setting, providing education to students with additional needs and facing challenges regarding developmental trauma and other mental health issues.

The Specialist School :

Extensive internal support team, ensuring both students’ and staff’s safety
Amazing links to community and external opportunity providers
Purpose built facilities and buildings such as art therapy, sensory rooms and construction studios

The School Mental Health Worker Job Role :

Collaborate with teachers to create encouraging classroom environment

While working as a School Mental Health Worker, you will students’ reactions and progress both regarding tasks and self-improvement

It is the School Mental Health Worker’s responsibility to offer support and guidance during challenging times

Communicate between the families, school and mental health professionals (both internal and external)

Working 1-1 with students facing dilemmas and handling a turbulent mental state
