Overview
Manages and oversees the strategic planning and capacity management processes to ensure alignment between long-term goals and business capacity. Owns the creation of Technology-wide long-range progress updates to ExCo, and recommends allocation of resource to optimise limited availability, identifying capacity constraints and facilitating informed decision-making to support demand management.

Owns long term (3 months onwards) resource planning onto product and project teamsCollaborates with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to understand requirements and gather inputs for long-range resource planningCommunicates long range resource, capacity, needs and gaps, as well as overall product portfolio progress updates to ExCoFacilitates the process for demand and backlog management, and deploys resources as necessaryDevelops, audits, and enables process governance for cross-functional teams as requiredOwns detailed tracking, performance measurement, updating ‘plan of plans’, and communicating with ExCoOwns the creation and collation of a CTO-wide progress report, with inputs from Product and Programme ManagersThe person
Proficiency in capacity planning methodologies, tools, and techniques to forecast resource needs, identify bottlenecks, and optimise resource allocationUnderstanding of resource management principles and practices to allocate resources effectively, balance workload, and prioritise initiatives based on strategic objectivesStrong analytical skills to analyse capacity and demand data, identify trends, and derive insights to inform resource planning decisionsPPM tool experience, e.g., ServiceNow PPM, Project Online, Project Server, or Clarity.Expertise in PMO leadership with extensive knowledge of Executive Reporting, Project Delivery Methodologies, Risk & Issues Management, Quality Assurance, and Financial ManagementExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills to gather and summarise progress across TechnologyCertified in either Project, Programme Management or PMO methodologies, such as PRINCE2, PMI, APM, MSPKnowledge of agile principles and frameworks to integrate capacity planning into agile delivery modelsPrevious experience in transformation to product-led, cross-functional ways of workingProven Portfolio / Programme Management Office experience, including PMO Management of large programmesJ-18808-Ljbffr
