Maintenance Fitter

Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with various hand and power tools. This role involves assembling, fabricating, and welding components to meet precise specifications. You will be performing a range of tasks as a fitter with welding just being one element.The role involves both planned and reactive maintenance.Duties

• Assemble components using hand tools and power tools according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Fabricate parts from sheet metal, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety standards.
• Perform welding tasks, including stick welding, to join metal components securely.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the fitting process.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.Skills
• Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools for assembly and fabrication tasks.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings.
• Experience in welding techniques, particularly stick welding.
• Competent in basic maths for measurements and calculations related to fitting tasks.
• Ability to work with sheet metal and fabricate components as required.
