Recruiting on behalf of our client for a Laboratory Technician to join their team on a full-time, 9-month contract based in Saltend, Hull. This is an excellent opportunity within a leading laboratory environment, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to high safety and compliance standards.    This role offers the chance to work with a reputable client, managing day-to-day laboratory operations and ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency.    You will be : Managing hazardous and chemical waste disposal, ensuring frequent collection and compliance Overseeing lab chemical stock levels, managing inventory, and processing chemical purchase requests Managing gas supply for the lab, ensuring stock levels are maintained and orders placed as needed Handling lab consumables and PPE supplies, ensuring availability and ordering additional stock when required Operating and maintaining laboratory glassware, including the use of glasswashers Supervising third-party engineers servicing lab equipment Maintaining housekeeping and HSSE standards across lab areas Coordinating the packaging and labelling of hazardous samples for shipment Supporting weekly safety checks and raising any issues with safety infrastructure    You will have : Proven experience in managing hazardous and chemical waste Knowledge of chemical inventory management and stock control Experience in maintaining housekeeping and HSSE standards in a lab environment Familiarity with packaging and labelling hazardous samples for shipment Strong awareness of health and safety regulations    If you’re a skilled Lab Technician with a background in hazardous waste management and lab operations, we want to hear from you.    Apply today or get in touch for further details
