About Us : Hays are working with a local government organisation in the South West, committed to delivering high-quality services to our community. We are currently seeking an experienced Interim Capital Accountant to join our clients team on a remote basis, working 5 days per week.

Role Overview : As an Interim Capital Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting our financial operations, particularly focusing on capital accounting and audit requirements. This position is fully remote, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere.Key Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with officers to prepare and deliver 2024 / 25 year-end capital accounting and audit requirements, including working papers.
• Review current processes and procedures with officers, updating and amending as necessary.
• Assist with the implementation of IFRS16 as required.
