New Exciting Opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader in Crawley
Job Description
Lead and manage a team of accounts payable specialists, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
Oversee the processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to deadlines.
Review and approve payment batches, reconciliations, and vendor statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Develop and implement accounts payable policies, procedures, and controls to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, finance, and operations, to resolve invoice discrepancies, address vendor inquiries, and streamline processes.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training and development opportunities for team members.
Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting standards, regulations, and best practices related to accounts payable.
Prepare accounts payable reports and analysis for management review and decision-making.
The Successful Applicant
Minimum of at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, procedures, and best practices.
Proficiency in accounting software and systems (e.g., SAP, Xero, QuickBooks, etc.).
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement and efficiency.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
