We’re BDO. An accountancy and business advisory firm, providing the advice and solutions entrepreneurial organisations need to navigate today’s changing world.

We work with the companies that are Britain’s economic engine - ambitious, entrepreneurially-spirited and high-growth businesses that fuel the economy - and directly advise the owners and management teams leading them.

We’ll broaden your horizons

The Business Partnering (BP) team plays a vital role within L&D, partnering with the Audit Stream to identify learning needs and develop appropriate responses. They work alongside the business to drive the Learning and Development agenda and coordinate with support teams.

The BP team acts as the business voice within L&D, providing oversight and challenge, and representing L&D to the business. The Business Partnering Manager for Projects will work directly with stakeholders to identify needs outside our core curricula, often project-based, requiring a coordinated approach.

Using their understanding of business priorities, they will align activities across L&D offerings and wider programmes, coordinating with stakeholders as needed. They will work collaboratively with other BP team members to ensure learning needs analysis is complete and share best practices.

They will work with the Learning Development team to ensure objectives are understood and translated into effective learning interventions, support programme delivery, and work with the Monitoring, Reporting & Compliance team to review learning effectiveness. They may also support onsite programme management and facilitation.

We value authenticity, celebrate contributions, and offer flexible working options. We support your career development through various programmes and resources.

In this role you will :

  • Support the scoping, development, implementation, and evaluation of learning solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Advocate for business needs within L&D, focusing on organizational goals and commercial productivity.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, advising business leaders on L&D issues.
  • Report progress against plans to the business.
  • Provide objective challenge and support to determine appropriate learning responses.
  • Promote L&D activities to foster a learning culture.
  • Support the delivery of the Audit L&D curriculum.
  • Build strategic relationships with the Audit Stream and wider business to align L&D initiatives.
  • Participate in learning needs analysis and oversee curriculum development.
  • Support onsite delivery and programme facilitation as needed.
  • Introduce innovative approaches to learning and support change initiatives.

Required skills and experience

  • Experienced Manager or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of Audit and regulatory environment.
  • Previous L&D experience preferred.
  • Ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Proven stakeholder influence and project management skills.
  • Facilitation experience is beneficial.
  • Problem-solving skills for commercially viable solutions.
  • Teamwork, coaching, and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Understanding of business strategy and operational excellence.
  • We’re in it together

Mutual support and respect are core values. We offer mentoring, coaching, and agile working to support your career and personal growth. Our collaborative spaces and events foster learning and sharing of expertise.

We’re looking forward to the future

We help entrepreneurial businesses succeed, fueling the UK economy. Our success depends on our people, and we invest in your development. We adapt and evolve to build on our strengths, shaping the future with openness and creativity.
