Shift Engineer - Boxford
The Shift Engineer will be responsible to provide maintenance and engineering service support for Site, driving improved performance and cost, services and quality - reporting to the Engineering Manager
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on FMCG production and packaging machinery, as well as associated process plant
- Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns, minimising downtime
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to support machine reliability
- Support / lead production line improvements / project initiatives driving efficiency
- A key focus of the role is on development of proactive fault prevention and continuous improvement activity
- Results focused to ensure that repairs are carried out in a timely and professional manner
Knowledge, Skills & Experience + Qualifications Required
Strong technical competence in FMCG environmentCompleted an apprenticeship in Electrical or Mechanical engineeringPromotes safe working practicesMulti skilled electrical & mechanical - Experienced production environment with plc, pneumatic control with a high mechanical aptitude with good diagnostic skillsElectrical qualifications :City & Guilds level 3 is a minimum requirementCity & Guilds 2365 - 236, 2330 or 2360 or 2351 or HNCCity & Guilds 2391 inspection and testing (desirable)18th Edition (desirable)Shift pattern :
4-week shift rotation as follows : DAYS 06 : 00 - 18 : 00 NIGHTS 18 : 00 - 06 : 00
Week-1 : Monday, Tuesday = DAYS - Friday Saturday and Sunday = NIGHTSWeek-2 : Wednesday, Thursday = DAYSWeek-3 : Monday, Tuesday = NIGHTS - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday = DAYSWeek-4 : Wednesday, Thursday = NIGHTS
