We are actively looking to recruit a talented, ambitious and proven Geography Teacher, ready and actively looking to take that next step as Head of Geography.

This is a full time and permanent Head of Geography position, starting September 2024.

Applicants looking to apply for this exciting Head of Geography position MUST be qualified, with UK QTS, have a minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching the geography curriculum within the UK, ideally within a diverse, London school.

CONTRACT : Permanent & Full Time

SALARY : London MPS / UPS + TLR (£7K) + Academy Allowance (£1,500)

DEPARTMENT : Established team of 3 – excellent results & strong KS5 cohort

OFTSED : Graded GOOD (OFSTED)

LOCATION : South London – Croydon – excellent & multiple transport links (Zone 4)

WHO ARE THE SCHOOL & SLT LOOKING FOR…

• Head of Geography
• Previous management experience ideally required – KS coordinator / 2iC
• Qualified Geography Teachers ONLY to apply - UK QTS a MUST
• Trained via formal, recognised pathway - PGCE, Schools Direct / SCITT or Teach First
• Experienced Geography Teacher required – minimum of 3 years (UK curriculum)
• Ability to teach Geography across KS3, 4 & 5
• 1st class or 2 : 1 Geography degree
• Genuine passion & interest for teaching & your subject
• Ability to lead & develop a talented team of Geography teachers
• Teaching practice and approach focused on motivating and inspiring pupils.
• Confident & able in meeting the teaching standards to a ‘Good or Outstanding’ level
