Job description

A Sports Content Deputy Manager, who will guide decisions with the leadership group, oversee multi-faceted marketing campaigns, ensure standards are met, and develop a dynamic team.

Working closely with the Sports Content management team, you will guide marketing content production across multiple territories, aligning with Customer Relationship Management strategy.

Collaborating with other Marketing teams to define and enhance processes, you will enable the Supervisor team to manage departmental workflow effectively.

With a keen eye for accuracy and quality within content, you will provide final stage content approval, ensuring regulatory requirements and wider Company standards are met.

Directly responsible for a small team of Supervisors, you will actively develop people and prepare them to operate in a changing environment, both dynamically on a day-to-day basis and as the department embraces future technical opportunities

If successful you will be required to provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK from your first day of employment.

Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience with content strategy in marketing / business content.
  • Strong cross-departmental relationship building and change management.
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant regulatory environments.
  • Broad understanding of company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements.
  • Strong industry and sporting knowledge is beneficial.
  • Experience using specific marketing communication tools (Braze or similar) or content management systems (Contentful or similar) would be advantageous.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in a tool-based environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Managing department performance in Sports Content Manager's absence.
  • Guiding Supervisors to oversee departmental workflow.
  • Consulting with Sports CRM and Marketing Delivery for smooth campaign progression.
  • Providing final sign-off for content ensuring accuracy, quality, brand alignment, and CRM strategy adherence.
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance across domains, countries, and platforms.
  • Improving departmental processes and standards through error analysis and promoting efficiency.
  • Driving the development and performance of the Supervisor team.
  • Leading projects from a Sports Content perspective.
  • Acting as an escalation point for technical issues (internal tools and customer reports).
