Clerical Assistant – Children’s Services Support

Location : Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT), South Wales

Contract : 17th April 2025 – 30th May 2025 (6 Weeks)

Hours : 37 hours / week, Monday–Friday, 8 : 30 AM – 5 : 00 PM

Pay : Competitive hourly rate + agency support benefits

What You’ll Do :

  • Manage reception duties, greeting visitors attending arranged meetings and ensuring a warm, professional welcome.
  • Handle telephone contact with staff, the general public, and colleagues, providing clear and friendly communication.
  • Perform generic business support tasks, including using Microsoft packages and operating office equipment confidently.
  • Learn to use a bespoke information management system (training provided) to support Children’s Services staff.
  • Keep the office running smoothly in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks to meet team needs.
  • What We’re Looking For :

  • Skills : Strong communication skills, confident using Microsoft packages (e.g., Word, Excel), and comfortable with office equipment.
  • Qualities : Organized, approachable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experience : Previous experience in a clerical or reception role, ideally in a busy office environment.
  • Requirements : Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8 : 30 AM – 5 : 00 PM; eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Bonus Points : Experience in a Children’s Services or public-facing role; Welsh language skills (or willingness to learn basic greetings).
