Job Description

Working on a 2 shift rotation after some initial training, the ideal person for this role must have at least 1 years’ experience of working on a powder coat or wet paint plant (manufacturing not automotive).

Duties

  • Selecting paint from stock and preparing both the spray booth and paint guns for each new job
  • Performing frequent change overs of colour
  • Spraying parts of various size and ensuring paint thickness and gloss levels are correct on finished product.
  • Occasionally may be required to jig up parts ready to paint
  • Masking parts from drawing detail
  • Packing finished parts and general housekeeping duties as and when required

Required knowledge, skills or experience

  • Experience of working to and understanding engineering drawings is desirable but not essential.
  • The ability to work unsupervised is required as although in a team of approx. 10.
  • The individual will be required to work through various jobs without assistance.

    Location : Chilton

    Hours of work :

  • 2 shift rotation : Mon – Thurs : 2 : 30pm to 11 : 00pm
  • Friday : 12 : 30pm to 7 : 00pm
  • Mon – Thurs : 6 : 00am to 2 : 30pm
  • Friday : 6 : 00am to 12 : 30 pm

    • Rate of Pay : £13.73 per hour

  • Overtime paid at 1.5 of day rate Mon – Sat, 2.0 of day rate for Sunday
