Job descriptionThe post is responsible to the Team Manager with the Deputy Team Manager a core member of the social work team responsible for delivering of Reablement function for the people of Southwark. The post holder is responsible for the management and oversight of Safeguarding adult cases and investigations including the chairing of safeguarding meetings. Has responsibility in relation to developing and co-ordinating approaches to enable the delivery of services in an efficient and effective manner and in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. The postholder will have formal supervisory responsibilities and will offer guidance to new members of staff joining the service. We are recruiting to a Deputy Team Manager (DTM) Social Work role within Intermediate Care Southwark (ICS). ICS is an integrated team including physiotherapists, social workers, occupational therapists, nurses, pharmacists and rehabilitation support workers who provide short term, targeted support to avoid hospital admission and support discharges by working together to maximise a person’s independence.
