Senior System Architect (VP) - £150k - £220k - Multiple Locations Across the UK

My Client, a pioneering force in the semiconductor industry, is seeking a visionary Director-level Senior System Architect to spearhead our next-generation chip design initiatives. As a key leader of there engineering team, you will drive strategic innovation, technical excellence, and collaboration across multiple disciplines to shape the future of semiconductor technology.

We are looking for a highly accomplished Senior System Architect with a proven track record of leading complex chip design projects. You will be responsible for architecting and implementing high-performance, power-efficient chip designs, ensuring seamless integration of power management, timing closure, physical layout, data management, bandwidth optimization, and gate-level simulation. Your expertise will guide / lead from a technical expertise level in developing innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of customers.

This is a deeply technical role individual contribution role, In this role the successful candidate would be to shape my clients future roadmaps with Chiplets and with scaling-up in mind, and would involve plenty of interaction with customers. In-depth knowledge and experience of tooling, vendors and cover concepts are important but deep insight about e.g. heat distribution in Chiplets, system level performance modelling is essential in this role.

Senior System Architect experience needed :

  • Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute long-term chip architecture strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Technical Expertise : Oversee the design and implementation of power management systems, timing closure methodologies, physical layout optimization, data management strategies, bandwidth enhancement techniques, and gate-level simulation tools.
  • Collaboration and Mentorship : Lead cross-functional teams, mentor junior architects, and foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
  • Customer Focus : Work closely with customers to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions that exceed expectations.

Experience needed for the Senior System Architect role is :

  • SoC Design
  • Understanding the Whole System
  • High Speed Interfaces
  • Chiplets / Chip Architecture
  • Technical skills needed for the Senior System Architect role are :

  • Experience : 15+ years of experience in chip design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of power management, timing closure, physical layout, data management, bandwidth optimization, and gate-level simulation.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design tools and methodologies.
  • Leadership Skills : Proven ability to lead high-performing teams, drive technical innovation, and manage complex projects.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Salary and Benefits :

  • Salary £150,000 – £220,000 per annum (Salary depends of experience and skillset bring to the role)
