This role uniquely combines sales and education, seeking a people-person who is tenacious, empathetic, driven, and self-motivated to join our Education team. You will support customers as they become active users of Slick, focusing on building close, long-term relationships and helping them explore more features for mutual benefit (the sales element).

As a quick learner, you will develop business and product knowledge to identify relationship opportunities. Trust in your product, industry knowledge, and understanding customer use cases are essential. Listening skills, empathy, reassurance, and connecting with customers during frustrations and successes are vital.

Responsibilities

  • Relationships : Build trust with salon owners, positioning yourself as a business and industry expert.
  • Training and retention : Ensure customers derive maximum value through excellent onboarding and ongoing training.
  • Existing Features & Usage : Understand customer goals, usage, and challenges to promote feature adoption.
  • New Features : Increase awareness and provide training on new features from our roadmap.
  • Payment Sales : Upsell POS payments to maximize revenue and strengthen client relationships.
  • Churn management : Use data and relationships to identify at-risk accounts and minimize churn through support and feedback to product teams.
  • Product expert : Master all features and benefits, answer questions, and develop case studies to demonstrate value.
  • Salon expert : Stay informed on industry trends to advise salons on using Slick to grow their business.
  • Voice of the customer : Collaborate with support teams to relay customer feedback for product development.
  • Teamwork : Work closely with the customer support team, sharing insights and feedback for continuous improvement.

Experience

  • Sales experience in a sales environment.
  • Experience managing customer relationships via in-person or phone interactions.
  • Experience delivering training sessions and guiding users through products.
  • Passion for the hair and beauty industry or consumer trends is essential.
  • Confidence in understanding and selling product benefits.
  • Analytical skills to interpret data and identify opportunities and risks.
  • Team-oriented mindset, open to asking for help and growth opportunities.
  • Success Metrics

    Lead Measures : Number of calls / meetings.

    Lag Measures : Customer engagement, revenue growth, churn rate, data quality in CRM.
