Job description

The job role provides support to the Tax Manager for Europe in delivering on-time, accurate and compliant taxation filings with a focus on Indirect Taxes. It also provides support identification and implementation of on-going process improvements. Key Responsibilities

Taxation Return - To provide clean and accurate data to external service providers on a timely basis and resolve any queries so that returns can be submitted on time and in full- Payment of taxes to tax authorities will be on a timely basis and in accordance with NCH Banking procedures and NCH internal approvals processes.

Taxation Compliance -Support the timely and effective implementation of existing and new legislation-The post-holder will build and maintain technical skills and knowledge through the completion of their Accounting or Tax qualification and by completing evidenced CPD.-Prepare tax returns for review by Line Manager in line with local regulations-Procedures and manuals related to tax returns will be maintained-Review monthly newsletters and communicate changes appropriately to Line Manager-Ensure all tax return submissions are supported by accurate documentation

  • Ensure all General Ledger tax accounts for span of control are reconciled each month External Support -The post-holder will engage fully and proactively with external services providers-The Taxation Dashboard will be monitored and updated on a timely basis.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in indirect Taxation gained in either Practice or Industry (desirable)
  • Experience dealing with tax in a multinational business environment (desirable)
  • Intermediate data analysis skills in Excel
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Double entry knowledge
  • Is studying towards or has a desire to study towards an accountancy qualification such as AAT, ACCA, ACA, or CIMA.
