Due to the current order book of our clients business, they are now recruiting for an Engineering Maintenance Manager to join their team in the Halewood / Speke area on a 12 Month FTC with the potential to progress to permanent.
This role offers the opportunity to work for a true independent market leader and established global brand. Role Description
- Provide managerial support for engineering and maintenance teams
- Manage, coach, and train the Manufacturing Engineering & Maintenance teams
- Project management all aspects of Maintenance & Engineering projects – planning the workload for major projects across production shutdown periods
- Lead cross functional product launches, on time and within budget
- Prepare RFQ’s, contract review, and risk management
- Support continuous improvement activities and projects
- Liaise with and manage contractors – overseeing work and rectifying any deficiencies.
- Successful co-ordination of running changes
- Ensure adherence to Project Management Systems
- Manage plant interface in support of Program targets
- Maintain credibility with the customer and balance of customer relationship
- Ensure Engineering and Maintenance KPI’s are up to date
- Clearly identify and follow up issues requiring management intervention, owning the resolution to off-standards.
- Ensure on-target continuity of current engineering and project deliverables
- Lead engineering change customer quotation for Engineering function
- Ensure IATF compliance
- Develop service plans for major plant that are time and cost effective
- Manage and support the development of Engineering and Maintenance budgets
- Manage maintenance teams, identifying recurring and common faults – driving corrective actions.
Skills and Qualifications
Multi-skilled Engineer, HND / degree level is advantageousExperience within a high volume, highly regulated manufacturing environment.Excellent organisational and communicational skillsExperienced in managing and delivering significant CAPEX projects.Experienced in working in a highly pressured and demand focused organisation, making confident decisions under pressure.Competent in Microsoft OfficeAble to liaise professionally with all levels within and outside the CompanyKnowledge of applicable regulatory requirements – Health & Safety, LOTO, PUWERExperience working within a JIT / Lean manufacturing environmentWorking knowledge of MES, DC tooling, EOL electrical test and Vision systems is advantageousCompany Information
