Working Environment

As a key strategic member of the catering team, the Executive Chef will be responsible for merging the external influences of the Food Development Team, the clear and undeniable strength of our core food approach, and the on-site retail and hospitality chef brigades in order to respond to Kirkland & Ellis requirements. Working in conjunction with key stakeholders and leadership team to determine and implement the food strategy for the mobilisation..

Job Description

The role requires an amazing chef with the strength of character and ability to build a K&E food community both within the catering team and within the K&E customer base. They will demonstrate a keen understanding of the latest of food trends and have a track record of delivering sustained food excellence across all service areas.

Your key responsibilities as the Executive Chef are to :

  • Lead the mobilisation of the new state of the art location at 40 Leadenhall alongside the General Manager.
  • Lead the development and implementation of menus and food style for the Hospitality, Café, Events and any other catering services required by Kirkland & Ellis customers and executive team.
  • Incorporate Kirkland & Ellis Wellness and CSR approach throughout the food offer and work with the marketing team to develop wellbeing approach.
  • Plan and co-ordinate all production and activity according to the requirements of each kitchen and service delivery location within the building.
  • Maintain and achieve the catering budgets and standards set out by Lexington in conjunction with the General Manager, Operations Manager and Group Development Chef.
  • Establish and maintain health and safety and hygiene and hygiene procedures in line with the company’s policy.
  • Ensure that food is produced and presented in conjunction with the kitchen team maximising customer appeal and exceed Lexington’s and client expectations.
  • Ongoing development of the food offer to reflect the latest trends and client requirements.
  • Set an example to and monitor the performance of all kitchen staff.
  • Conduct the purchase, receiving, storage and stock controls of all lines demonstrating kitchen due diligence.
  • Show financial management through correct costing, stock taking and menu planning benefiting both Lexington and our customers.
  • Recruit, support, train, coach and manage all kitchen staff and set an example for delivering an efficient quality and financially beneficial service for both Lexington and our customers.
  • Enhance and improve skills and knowledge by training and development benefiting self, all staff, Lexington and our customers.
  • Able to engage at a high level with senior Kirkland & Ellis stakeholders and able to present and impart ideas and strategies well.

Working Pattern : 40 hours (Mon-Fri) Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in the role & successfully managing a team.
  • Highly confident and positive.
  • Contract Catering experience essential
  • Able to create and implement economically sustainable solutions.

    As part of your package, we are offering a salary between £55,000-£60,000 annual.
