My client is an acoustic engineeringpany specialising in the design, supply and installation of noise control hardware. Making them unique, they have a contracting team that delivers noise solutions based on the pre-assessments done in-house. This presents great opportunities for people to develop in a desirable area of acoustics and work with clients on a broader scale.

They currently have 15 staff across acoustics, contacting, sales and admin, so you'll be a part of a close-knitpany and a well connected team. The acoustics team is currently 4 strong with a lead and two juniors, so you'll being into the middle to support the lead and develop into a mor senior position down the line.

They conduct a range of environmental noise and architectural acoustics work for retail, high end residential, service stations, plants and much more...

Your new role They are looking for an Acoustic Engineer / Consultant to join their team to support the growth of our business, based in Walton-On-Thames, Surrey. As a leading consultancy they design and install noise control equipment for the construction industry, predominantly in central London (80%), and in the home counties, but also throughout the UK.The position involves being part of a team carrying out a varied and interesting range of work requiring a broad range of skills and knowledge of acoustics.

Position Overview :

  • On-site survey work
  • Data acquisition and analysis
  • Noise modelling, calculation and report writing (CadnA)
  • Project accounting and time management (Using in-house bespoke software currently in development)
  • Client liaison and fee proposals
  • Field work and site meetings

In addition, they offer the opportunity to get involved in noise control engineering, product design, development and testing.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A working knowledge of either BS4142, BB93 or BS8233 assessments.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • IOA Membership.
  • Qualified to degree level in Acoustics, or another relevant discipline.
  • Excellent IT Skills.
  • Report writing skills.
  • Survey skills.
  • Able to work autonomously.
  • Experience of noise control engineering would be desirable but not essential.
