Warehouse Operative with Forklift Licence, Leicester

Our client based in LE3 Leicester is looking for a Warehouse Team Leader / FLT Counterbalance Driver. You will be required to work alongside the warehouse manager and to support / lead a small team within the warehouse. Shifts are Monday to Thursday 08.00 - 16.30 & Friday 08.00 - 15.30 paying £12.35 per hour raising to £12.67 after completing 12 full weeks. An additional £1 per hour is available providing you have the required Team Leader experience.

Key Responsibilities & Activities

• Plan and coordinate the incoming goods, storage and dispatch of items in a timely and efficient manner to achieve your tam objectives and KPI,s
• Overall responsibility for all aspects of the effective management, training and development of your team
• Ensure the warehouse team are trained and competent in all aspects of warehouse duties to ensure flexibility of skills within the team
• To ensure effective, safe, accurate and timely stock management to include space allocation, stock transfer and dealing with non-conforming product
• Management of third part offsite storage
• Responsible for ensuring the most efficient and cost-effective transport is in place as required by the business
• Responsible for continuous improvement activities within the warehouse on order to drive efficiency, cost and quality improvement
• Working closely with the Purchasing manager to ensure adequate stock levels
• Organising and ensuring accurate and periodic cycle counts and stock takes
• Be responsible for ensuring that the quality of the product and service with the warehouse is maintained at the highest possible standards for the customer
• Ensure quality procedures and team quality targets are strictly adhered to
• Carry out other duties as is within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by your line manager
