Maintenance Engineer

Role Overview

We are currently looking for a maintenance engineer to join a leading chemicals company based in the Midlands. As the maintenance engineer you will be responsible to provide technical skills to effect repairs and maintain site assets.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the maintenance engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows :

1. Provide plant and process problem solving skills within area of expertise to optimise manufacturing equipment availability and keep production downtime to a minimum

2. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with internal customers to ensure that work is implemented in a safe and timely manner

3. Attend site meetings, risk assessment studies and review meetings as required

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Maintenance Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history :

1. Time served apprenticeship appropriate to the role, City & Guilds NVQ 3 etc

2. Understanding of engineering and SHE standards and legislation

3. To be able to read drawings and record data accurately in paper and computer systems

4. Regulated industry experience
