Customer Service Assistant - Harwich International Port

We are seeking a professional, welcoming, and experienced Customer Service Assistant to join our team. This part-time role involves working mornings, evenings, and weekends. The morning hours are 06 : 00-09 : 00, and evening shifts vary between 18 : 30-23 : 00, 19 : 00-22 : 00, and 19 : 30-23 : 00.

Pay rate : £12.80 per hour.

Responsibilities include :

• Providing professional and courteous customer service at all times.
• Greeting passengers and checking tickets / passes for restricted area access.
• Monitoring escalators to prevent misuse.
• Assisting passengers with luggage and mobility aids.
• Moving baggage trolleys and assisting at parking areas.
• Communicating with port staff and customers via handheld radio.
• Performing reception duties as needed.
• Directing traffic and presenting cars to immigration.
