Job descriptionFull UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C). Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card. No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only). Full understanding of WTD legislation. Ability to operate tail lift and pump truck equipment. Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position. Excellent communication skills. The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Avonmouth area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.
Hours : Working 5 shifts out of 7 (weekends included) on days (start times between 6am-6 : 45am) or nights (start times between 11pm-3am).
Job Type : Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate
The role :
- Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to and from sub depots and delivery units.
- Handling runs with 1-4 delivery stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
- Utilise tail lift and pump truck equipment for loading and unloading.
- Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
- Empty the vehicle and refuel at the end of each shift.
- Complete a theory and practical assessment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards and then complete a few days paid training if assessment is successful.
