FPS is a 100% INEOS-owned integrated oil and gas liquid transportation and processing system with a nominal capacity in excess of one million barrels per day serving the central area of the North Sea.

Oil and gas liquids from over 50 offshore fields and St Fergus flow through pipelines into FPS. FPS transports crude oil and gas liquids from offshore and onshore entry points, processes the liquids at Kinneil and redelivers to the customer Forties Blend crude oil at Hound Point and either Raw Gas or fractionated Gas Products at Grangemouth

job purpose

Ensure business processes are accurate, documented, used and continuously improved via the adoption of the Business Management System, promoting compliance and efficiency.

Develop, own and maintain quality, assurance and continuous improvement processes and associated activities to enable safe, reliable, efficient and sustainable operations.

principle accountabilities

  • Implement, maintain and improve management system framework conforming to ISO principles; providing a business process digital repository, an audit management and incident management system and Continuous Improvement processes.
  • Provide ongoing access to a user-friendly document management IT repository that manages business process and policy procedures; assuring up-to-date and accurate ways of working are detailed and held.
  • Lead the development, agreement and communication of the annual assurance plan based on past performance, learning and business risk.
  • Drive and facilitate cross-functional teams in executing process improvement projects, including data collection, analysis, and the implementation of CI tools and methods.
  • Deliver in-year assurance plan : monthly progress, audit finding reports and collation of thematic results. Providing a framework for Level 1 audits and coordination of L2 and L3 audit programme.
  • Provide framework and coordination of Element Performance Reviews and reports, to highlight risk and conformance against goals, targets and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead internal and external related audit activities as required.
  • Own list of Element, sub-element and IGGN owners, ensuring list remains accurate.
  • Prepare, coordinate and present the annual Management Review to the FPS Board, ensuring that data sets are consistent across all business areas and reliably inform areas for improvement.
  • Owner of Continuous Improvement framework and associated programme of Continuous Improvement projects, advising organisation on CI best practice to remove waste and increase efficiency.
  • Analyse & interpret assurance data to identify performance gaps, root causes, and opportunities for improvement, ensuring that decisions are data led.
  • Own Quality, Assurance and Improvement related BI performance dashboard, validating data periodically to ensure accuracy.

  • qualifications and technical experience

    Required Qualifications :

  • Technical degree or equivalent STEM related practical experience.
  • Formal qualification in Lean Manufacturing and methodology, Kaizen, Six Sigma, 5s etc. or relevant time served proven experience .
  • Certified ISO 9001 : 2015 Lead Auditor.
  • Required Knowledge :

  • Strong understanding of Management systems and frameworks – their application, continued use and business adoption.
  • Experience in quality management with an industrial environment e.g. oil and gas, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals etc.
  • Required Skills :

  • Ability to lead, coach and develop personnel – in function and cross function.
  • Strong leadership skills to influence across all business assets and functions to drive successful continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong programme management skills – experience of delivering complex quality and operational improvement project on time, to budget, and targeted impact.
  • Strong communication, engagement and coaching skills, with a capacity to influence.
  • Experience in participating and leading investigations.
  • Capability to analyse performance data with a view to influence and improve delivery.
