Our engineering & maintenance team responsible for all aspects of the maintenance in the north maltings. The team delivers improved asset reliability and outstanding resource utilisation through planning and execution of maintenance tasks and positively contributes to a World Class outlook and actively support the development and successful implementation of strategies to achieve this aim.
The main purpose of the role is to effectively manage maintenance planning and scheduling whilst optimising resources, time, and material and play a meaningful role to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of colleagues and others. Support Maintenance Managers & Business Leaders and act as a point of contact for asset care Manufacturing Excellence metric delivery at sites.
Key Accountabilities are :
- Ensure adherence to Health & Safety, Environmental & Quality Standards.
- Working in line with operating procedures to ensure all hazards / risks are handled and familiar with hazard / incident reporting processes.
- Ensure compliance to maintenance regulatory standards within the area.
- Plan all maintenance activities for respective business area.
- Working closely with Operations teams, Maintenance and Craft groups to ensure all mandatory and requested maintenance is optimally planned into the production schedule. Ensuring the accurate resource and spare parts are available to carry out the maintenance where applicable.
- Support and energise deployment of the Manufacturing Excellence Asset Care Strategy level with technical teams and Operations.
- Optimizes maintenance schedules for all plans, including CapEx projects, shutdown periods and asset availability.
- Work with Operations, Maintenance and support teams to identify areas of plant under performance.
- Provide asset data trend to multi-disciplinary problem-solving teams to allow systemic and situational problems to be addressed.
- Attend routine maintenance review meetings. Provide maintenance SAP reports to allow work to be analysed and prioritised as necessary.
- Lead weekly maintenance integrated planning meeting providing scheduled maintenance requirements and analysis of asset performance trends.
- Expected to reach a level of proficiency associated with your role by completing mandatory training in accordance with the Diageo training matrix.
- Commit to grow own capability and experience to the benefit of self, your team and Diageo business requirements.
About You :
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate to all levels across all functions.Ability to organise a variety of tasks and prioritise self and others accordingly.Knowledge of Reliability Maintenance techniquesSome experienced in data analysis, use of applications (Excel, Word, etc.) or business systems such as SAP would be advantageous.Able to work as individual but also part of team.Experience working in an engineering / production or service environment, technical and or / management experience an advantage, though not imperative.HNC level qualification in engineering or equivalent experienceKnowledge of Manufacturing processes.Good facilitation skillsWorking with Us
