Essential Qualities and Experience
Experience of working within a Quality Management System e.g. BRCGS, SALSA, ISO9001 OR Health & Safety Qualifications e.g. NEBOSH, IOSHExperience of carrying out and documenting audits including allocation of non-conformance’s, liaising with different departments to agree actions, following up actions and creating reportsGood level of ability with Spread Sheets and Word – e.g. use of pivot tables, conditional formatting, tables and chartsExperience of working to proceduresAbility to manage own time and work to deadlinesA methodical way of working and able to adapt to changing priorities as advisedAbility to communicate clearly and conciselyAttention to detailDiscipline to follow correct procedures and working practicesCollaborative approach to working with othersConfident to communicate areas of non-conformance to others in a constructive wayTHE RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct various types of internal audits, complete reports, log actions and monitor action completion. Types of audits; procedure audits, H&S audits, paperwork audits, fabrication audits, perimeter audits, GMP audits, trace ability auditsCreate and maintain product specifications and recordsBe a presence in production, helping staff to understand and comply with food safety, quality and H&S proceduresCarry out H&S risk assessmentsConduct basic food safety and quality training for other members of staffPrepare and submit lab samples, keeping testing schedules up to dateLog lab results and create / update trend charts and reportsBe a source of knowledge for food safety and quality-related queriesComplete hygiene and allergen validationsManage calibration schedules for equipment such as balancesAssist with Quality System document updatesCarry out label compliance checksDeputise basic tasks in absence of Compliance Manager
