Job description

Responsibilities

Work with SME's to establish the portfolio of documents required
Work with the SME's to understand each method of backup and restore used within the environment
Produce high quality comprehensive documentation based on the information obtained
Ensure documentation meets quality standards and is user-friendly
Submit the documents for peer review and amend as required

Skills and Experience :

Essential

Excellent technical authoring skills

Good understanding of Infrastructure generally (Windows, Unix, Linux, Networking, Virtualisation)

Possess a good working knowledge IT infrastructure in general. More detailed knowledge of Storage and Backup systems (EMC Networker, Rubrik & TSM) would be preferable

Expert in the use of standard authoring tools such as Word, Excel and Visio

Work Experience : Essential :

Proven experience as a technical author, preferably in storage

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Proven track record of delivering to challenging time scales
