As a Software and Integration Developer you will be delivering innovative business improvements in developing, promoting and continued proper usage of our business systems and ways of working.

To Create and drive business improvement changes to our key systems looking for opportunities to streamline processes, innovative in working practices and embed new ways of working across the business to transform services and improve the customer experience. To apply technical expertise to suitably implement and configure new technologies to assist in business system development.

Location : Flexible hybrid working arrangements between home and Prima offices (Columbus Quay or Twickenham Drive)

Salary : £40,698 Per Annum (PT04)

Software And Integration Developer Main Duties

  • Use suitable skills to develop complex solutions throughout the business systems to further develop group-wide improvements
  • Assist the Business Systems and Innovation Manager with upgrades and new implementations of a technical nature
  • Use data through SQL and Power BI to assist in providing solutions within the business systems
  • Contribute to the development of and deliver on the implement of the annual software development plan / strategies, liaising with ICT Team and stakeholders to produce internal and external software development objectives in line with company aims and objectives.
  • Work in partnership with staff at all levels to develop planning and implementation of systems, upgrades and improvements. Understanding operational requirements and technical options to drive improvements to processing work. Facilitating workshops and presenting to colleagues where required.
  • Implement system changes and improvements including testing with third parties and staff.
  • To work in partnership with all business areas to identify and support the delivery of new innovative business processes to generate efficiencies for the Company. This will include the need to work with business areas to assist them in developing their operational strategies, acting as change agent to drive business transformation.
  • Identify faults and rectify where appropriate or escalate and chase progress.
  • Promote and implement best practice and effective system usage, carrying out quality checks on business systems and putting in place support where required.

  • Skills & Competencies For The Role

  • Experience of understanding operational processes and translating them into work flow system processes.
  • Excellent ICT skills
  • Knowledge of process mapping and bringing processes to life. Knowledge of how projects link together to ensure solutions benefit the company as a whole.
  • Experience of using web APIs and the role they play in allowing software to communicate.
  • SQL scripting and reporting
  • Azure Dataflow and data warehousing knowledge
  • Demonstrable experience of implementing or using systems to improve performance, usability or customer experience.
  • A clear understanding of the role of ICT in service delivery.
  • Good understanding of best practice in customer services.
  • Knowledge / Experience of project management
  • Ability to form relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external customers / suppliers
