Are you ready to take on a dynamic role as a Project Engineer? We are looking for a skilled individual to lead mechanical projects at one of our chemical manufacturing clients sites.
The Role :
Monday – Friday 8am-4pm
Department – Process Safety
Contract – Permenant – On-Site
33 days – includes bank holiday entitlement
Company Pension – Company contributes 3% and the employee contributes 5%
Healthcare – Eligible for BUPA cover after 6 months probationary period.
Responsibilities :
Manage all project phases from design to evaluation.
Develop innovative designs to address challenges and create equipment specifications.
Plan project requirements, costs, and timelines.
Identify and oversee necessary resources and external contractors.
Mitigate project risks and ensure timely, budget-friendly, and high-quality project delivery.
Communicate change requests clearly and effectively.
Contribute to design verification and improvement initiatives.
Participate in meetings and effectively follow up on instructions.
Create and update engineering drawings, including isometrics.
Ensure project compliance with codes, policies, and performance standards.
Fulfill any duties assigned by a Senior Manager
Essential Skills :
Minimum of 5 years relevant mechanical project management experience
Technically proficient in mechanical design and maintenance of equipment such as agitators, reactors and pumps
Good working knowledge of the chemical industry, including agitated semi-batch reactors
Management systems such as Permit-to-Work, Management of Change & Lockout – Tagout
Experience working with a plant maintenance system
Experience of a COMAH site
