Job responsibilities :
People Management
- Leadership role ensuring compliance to EHS within the Country
- Responsible to ensure all required EHS training is completed and in compliance with all standards and policies related to EHS
- Development of teams in line with departmental and individual plans (competencies and skills)
- Facilitates managers and employees training and development (awareness, behavior) in EHS for total company (ISC, Commercial & Corporate Functions)
- Drive all training of the senior Management / Leadership of the country
- Drive the consequence management process
Process Management
Provide detailed EHS input into site Long Term Development Plan (LDP) processAdvise and support the site management team on all EHS issues within their areas of responsibility (incl. accidents investigations, risk assessments)Rollout new initiatives from the group / region related to EHSMonitor, track and ensure legal compliance as per country laws and regulationsExercise functional authority to stop work in any area if conditions are unsafe (Stop work authority) – in line with Zero Accident culturePerformance Management
Responsible for setting EHS KPI s at their respective site in line with Country, Region and Group targets (make proposal to be agreed within ISC)Ensure EHS KPIs are implicitly understood and managed efficiently at an appropriate level (i.e. : LTAR, CO2 emission, waste, wastewater, etc.)Responsible for EHS data reporting at the country / regional levelInitiates local EHS performance reviews, identify trends, initiates and participates in problem solving activitiesSetting and managing EHS department financial budget (OPEX)Supporting and advising Functional Heads in EHS improvement projects (related to OPEX and CAPEX)Functional Specific Management
Conduct field observations, inspections, coaching and guidance, 25% of time minimum in the fieldISO 14001 / OHSAS 18001 (or ISO45001) certifications including follow upSupports local Management teams liaise with service providers and contractors to ensure their compliance with local systemsResponsible to manage the local plan of EHS auditsActs as a member of the ISC EHS network : share significant incidents and lessons learned, share expertise, participate in cross auditsLiaise with relevant local authorities and maintain cordial relations with no non complianceBe responsible & provide expertise during execution of CAPEX projectsAdvises and is a member of the local Crisis Management Team or / and Emergency Response Team in case of critical or serious H&S or E incidentDriving Company Excellence development in his / her area of responsibilityQualification :
Education and Experience :
University degree in Safety, Health and Environmental Management or combination of education in EHS or necessary experience from relative position in Supply Chain.4-7 years’ experience in EHS management relevant to positionLanguage skills :
Fluent in local language (spoken and written)Fluent in English (preferable)
