Key responsibilities :
- Be integral to the delivery of technical projects, producing high quality deliverables and working both independently and as part of a team.
- Play a fundamental role in the development of other team members.
- Able to use problem solving skills on challenging in radioactive waste management issues.
- Knowledge of the radioactive waste management lifecycle and be able to align approaches across the project and applicable national policies and legislation.
- Develop an open environment of continuous improvement of project / programme including performing environmental permitting and assessment requirements ( BPM).
- Maintain a strong customer focus and able to maintain and develop client relationships.
- Able to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Skills and qualifications :
Degree in a physical science OR equivalent training / experienceSignificant proven experience in radioactive waste management with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience.Proven experience in two or more of the following : decommissioning, characterisation, disposability assessments, application of the environmental legislation, production of BAT / BPM assessments, DQO application and waste assay techniques.Able to prioritise based on business needs and lead on certain projects.
