Job summary

Southend Medical Centre is looking for a qualified locum practice nurse with experience in primary care for maternity cover. Shift pattern negotiable for right candidate. Ideally to cover for 3 days Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, this is negotiable.

Main duties of the job

• To work as a registered practice nurse supporting the organisation and facilitate clinical care in a holistic and proactive manner to patients registered at the practice.
• To maintain a high professional standard of nursing care in adherence to all practice protocols and policies, as well as to provide nursing assistance to the GPs and other members of the primary healthcare team.
• It is essential that the practice nurse works within their own level of competency and expand their role in accordance with practice requirements and their own scope of practice.
