Our client is seeking an experienced business development professional with a strong understanding of the transportation sector.
The purpose of this vacancy is to support the business in achieving its business targets and the implementation of the sector strategy.
As a Business Development Manager, you’ll cultivate and manage relationships with clients, identify new business opportunities, and lead the development of proposals and presentations.
Key Accountabilities :
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Transport sector, contributing to and exceeding set targets
- Support the Transport Director in delivering growth targets aligned with the corporate plan
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the sector strategy, identifying target customers, markets, and services
- Assist in shaping Transport sector offerings based on customer insights and working with the engineering and innovation team
- Contribute to sector mapping, research, opportunity identification, and development
- Support the overall pipeline sector development and provide leads to other sectors as appropriate
- Prepare detailed tender information for review, ensuring new business meets profitability targets
- Develop and manage new customer relationships
- Lead the preparation of tender responses and presentations
- Facilitate the smooth transition of new customers to the Operations teams
