Job Summary :
We are seeking a dynamic Commercial Technology Manager to join our team. This role will be instrumental in managing our technology-related contracts, controlling expenditure, budgeting and forecasting processes, optimising ITAM and implementing FinOps practices. The successful candidate will play a key role within our management capabilities of the technology domain optimising expenditure and mitigating commercial risk to the business.
Key Responsibilities :
- Monitor and control technology-related expenditure and contracts, ensuring they align with budget and organisational objectives whilst maximising cost effectiveness.
- Develop and manage the budgeting and forecasting activities to meet the needs of Commercial, Finance and IT
- Collaborate closely with the IT Operations Director to support the strategic planning and execution of technology initiatives.
- ITAM; Oversee the lifecycle cost of IT assets, including tracking, license management, and ensuring compliance with software agreements to optimise usage.
- Vendor & Contract Management; Negotiate and manage contracts with IT vendors, service providers, and resellers to secure favourable terms and ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Monitor and report on technology spending trends, identifying opportunities for cost savings and improved financial performance.
- Provide financial and commercial insights to support decision-making processes across technology projects and initiatives.
- Liaise with the Group Commercial Director and other senior stakeholders to ensure technology investments are aligned with overall business strategy and objectives.
Qualifications :
Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a technology or IT-focused environment with a high level understanding of technology inter / co-dependencies.Excellent analytical, and project management skills.Experienced negotiator to secure compelling deals that can handle the all-eventualities growth ITG is undertaking.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, IT, or a related field is ideal.
