Are you a confident Band 6 or Band 7 analyst looking for a new challenge. The Business Intelligence Service is looking for an Analyst Team Manager to join its management team.
This post will support the BI Delivery Manager, work closely with our other Analyst Team Managers, have line management responsibility and support services to contribute to the Trusts objectives. The post holder will provide analytical intelligence to our clinical and corporate teams as well as lead on presentation of information and ensuring completion of reports accurately.
You will need to have experience of working in an NHS Business Intelligence team and possess an understanding of the way information is used to support operational performance.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff in both verbal and written formats is essential. Excellent SQL skills would be an advantage, as would experience of Tableau.
Main duties of the job
To support the BI Delivery manager and manage the information functions within their portfolio, deputising where appropriate.
To line manage analysts ensuring their Team's Day to day priorities are delivered effectively and efficiently in a timely manner and to coordinate staff development.
To lead the delivery of the team objectives, ensure statutory and mandatory requirements are delivered and performance is monitored against local and national targets. To ensure efficient completion of reports in an accurate and concise format and produce innovative visualisations.
To support the Delivery Team's objectives and work with the other Analyst Team Managers to manage focus groups and short-term projects.
To use a variety of analytical skills including data, manipulation, data interpretation and to work with services to provide data insights.
To actively promote the use of information and improvements in data quality.
