Graduate Geography Teaching Assistant – Up to £550 per Week

Location : Northampton | Secondary School

Start Date : Immediate or September 2025

This full-time, long-term role is ideal for a graduate eager to gain classroom experience before pursuing teacher training or a career in education.

Graduate Geography Teaching Assistant - What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting students during Geography lessons, both in the classroom and through fieldwork preparation

Assisting with lesson resources, assessments, and presentations

Providing targeted academic support to individuals and small groups

Encouraging analytical thinking, map skills, and environmental awareness

Helping to deliver engaging lessons on physical and human geography topics

Supporting revision sessions and GCSE preparation

Getting involved in enrichment activities such as eco-clubs or geography-related projects

Graduate Geography Teaching Assistant - What We’re Looking For

A 2 : 1 degree or above in Geography or a related subject

Strong subject knowledge and an enthusiasm for teaching and learning

Experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, youth work)

Excellent communication and organisational skills

A keen interest in educational development, fieldwork, and global issues

A desire to pursue a career in teaching, education, or related fields
