Job descriptionBuilding, scaling, and monitoring various highly complex applications, and making those applications highly available. Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes. Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure. Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats. Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’. Working with software developers to ensure that development follows established processes. Develop DevOps standards, and document them via policies and technical papers. You will work on a 100% cloud‑only SaaS product, based on Azure and leveraging latest web technologies such as Kubernetes, using the near latest version of DotNet Core (5.0) With a global client base the role offers an opportunity to experience a wide variety of digital transformation projects – each with their own unique requirements and opportunities. You will have the flexibility to work from home, in the office or remotely. Experience managing Kubernetes clusters, AKS experience is preferred. Creating and maintaining Docker images. IaC experience, preferably Terraform. DevOps pipeline management using GitLab, or alternative CI / CD. Knowledge of “in transit” and “at rest” encryption methods. Understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (inc. performance tuning) An understanding of security systems such as workload protection, runtime protection, CSPM and WAF’s. Understanding of .Net Core / .net 8 / c# / MVC / Single Page apps. RESTful APIs and Postman. Experience with multiple cloud services (mainly Azure based), including : Azure Cache for Redis Integration with other networks e.g. VPN / PrivateLink Service Bus Storage (Blob, Table) KeyVault Application Gateways Experience of SOC2 compliance. What is the role?
The Senior DevOps engineer works as a part of a collaborative full stack development team and brings expertise of both engineering, coding, and operational experience of Azure‑based infrastructure managed via Infrastructure as Code. The engineer will understand the software development lifecycle, be responsible for coordinating changes across all environments, and have expertise using automation tools for developing automated CI / CD pipelines.
You will be passionate about all things “automation”, including accuracy, diagnostics, performance, and scaling. You should be independent, communicative, and like to develop relationships with people. You should be driven by delivering the best possible results where success is confirmed by the customer.
