Job description

Play a crucial role in designing and developing innovative defence systems as a Principal Mechanical Engineer.

You will work across the entire engineering lifecycle following the appropriate defence standards.

Your Responsibilities :

  • Sign off all mechanical designs, ensure the mechanical team are conforming to applicable processes during design, development and build, and ensure compliance to all applicable requirements.
  • Produce, review and approve technical documentation to support programme delivery.
  • Be a direct point of contact whilst liaising with manufacturers and test houses.

Your Experience :

  • Strong experience in mechanical design including FEA and Thermal Analysis (CFD).
  • Engineering degree in related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Defence experience and working knowledge of the industry standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a complex and rapidly changing environment.

    Salary : £46,000–£63,000 Plus Bonus & Benefits

    Location : New Malden, Greater London Area

    Hybrid working : 2-3 days a week on-site and occasional travel to client site(s)
