The Role :

We are actively looking for dedicated Cover Supervisors to work at our partnered Secondary Schools based in Bury St Edmunds and the surrounding areas. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of education when teachers are absent. You will follow lesson plans provided by teachers, ensuring that students understand and complete assigned work and keep accurate records of attendance and any incidents that occur during the lesson.

A candidate 'Must Have' :

  • Willingness to do Cover Supervisor work with a wide range of children
  • Previous experience working with children in a school or classroom environment is preferred but not essential!

The ideal Cover Supervisor will :

  • Adapt supervisory techniques to complement individual learning styles, effectively responding to diverse skill levels and behaviours
  • Communicate seamlessly, building strong connections with fellow teaching staff and fostering trust with our aspiring students. Emotional intelligence is paramount in your interactions!
  • Maintain composure, patience, and understanding; the academic environment can be dynamic, and your ability to stay calm and assess support needs is crucial.
