Our client, a leading aerospace company, is seeking skilled operatives for their A350 Panels Assembly team. This is a contract position within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

35 UMB or £25.94PAYE + Holiday

Hours : 14 : 15-22 : 30 (Mon-Thu) / 12 : 00-18 : 00 (Fri)

Key Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the section Shop Floor Manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production requirements are met safely, on time, and to customer specifications.
  • Follow work instructions, specifications, and part drawings accessed via PC.
  • Read and interpret engineering data, technical drawings, specifications, repair schemes, and Manufacturing Procedures (MPs).
  • Accurately complete work route cards to maintain component traceability.
  • Measure and mark out materials for close tolerance hand fitting processes.
  • Perform precision drilling, countersink, reaming, and finishing of holes in aircraft structure assemblies.
  • Apply assembly techniques including riveting, mechanical fasteners, and bonding processes.
  • Utilize sealing and jointing techniques for environmental protection and painting of aircraft structures.
  • Carry out bush and bearing installations.
  • Apply part markings on aircraft assemblies / sub-assemblies.
  • Assemble pipework for various types of aircraft.
  • Conduct alignment, pressure, electrical bonding, and functional testing as required.

Job Requirements

  • Prior experience in aircraft assembly or a similar field is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to precise specifications.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and engineering data.
  • Familiarity with assembly techniques such as riveting, mechanical fastening, and bonding processes.
  • Understanding of sealing and jointing techniques for environmental protection and painting.
  • Knowledge of bush and bearing installations.
  • Experience in pipework assembly for aircraft is beneficial.
  • Ability to conduct alignment, pressure, electrical bonding, and functional testing is an advantage.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and meeting deadlines.
