An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Charge Nurse / Team Leader to work in an exceptional mental health service based in the Edmonton, London area. You will be working for one of UK’s leading health care providers.
This special mental health service is a low secure rehabilitation and recovery facility split into five independent living units for. They provide 24-hour specialist care and support for those with enduring mental health needs

As a Charge Nurse / Team Leader your key responsibilities include :
Managing admissions and dischargesPlanning the nursing staff rosterSupervising and guiding other nurses and cares in their workMonitoring patients, administering medication following company’s policy and reporting patients ‘condition to doctorsMaintaining inventories of medical supplies and medicinesMentoring and training new staff, providing support and guidance to all staff membersThe following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role :
Have clinical and leadership experience that provides the expertise and confidence required to support the wider nursing teamBe able to respond flexibly to change and the developing needs of the serviceBe responsible for deputising in the absence of the ward manager if necessary and therefore must demonstrate a willingness to develop and expand on their existing roles and responsibilitiesBe role models for their peers and demonstrate core values at all times therefore the expectations of this will need to be clearly set outIt is also desirable to have experience in a forensic setting though a keen desire to work in this challenging field is necessaryThe role will require being a clinical lead and an understanding and knowledge of patient’s needs is essentialYou will need to demonstrate the ability to assess and teach junior staff and have good leadership skills. The ability to have a flexible, positive, team orientated approach is requiredThe successful Charge Nurse / Team Leader will receive an excellent salary of £41,000 per annum.
