Part time Nursery Practitioner - Kennington SE11 - ASAP start - £11.50+ per hour

A great nursery are looking for two qualified part-time enthusiastic nursery practitioners to work in their lovely independent nursery in Kennington. You will be based with our three and four year olds.

The nursery are flexible on days whether you'd like to work 2 days or 3 days per week, however the shifts are 9 hours per day (including an hours lunch break) and would rotate weekly but start at 7.45am - 4.45pm, 8am - 5pm, 8.30am - 5.30pm or 9am - 6pm. We don't offer term time only work, the role is all year round.

What we need from you :

  • A positive attitude and good work ethic
  • Clear communication with children and adults
  • A good working knowledge of the EYFS
  • Experience with planning activities, observing and evaluating
  • Experience working within a nursery setting for 1 year
  • A level 3 qualification in Childcare - level 2 would be considered with the right experience
  • Your duties will include :

  • Someone who will enthusiastically take part in all planned activities for the children
  • Someone who is not afraid to get 'stuck in' - singing, messy play, make believe play, reading stories
  • Supporting the children with early literacy and numeracy skills through small group activities
  • You will be a key worker to a specific group of children and carry out observations on their progress and development on a tablet
  • Responsible for liaising with parents on all aspects of their child's care and development and daily handovers
  • Dedicated planning time to come up with exciting and engaging activity ideas to help the children's development
