Key Responsibilities :
- Attend customers' pre-start site induction. Receive information on scope of works, site rules including Permit to Work arrangements, arrangements for safety, environment, welfare, security, access and emergencies.
- Conduct pre-start Site Risk Assessment and report unsafe conditions.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures, Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
- Control of work on site including site safety risk assessment (pre-start and ongoing) and to take reasonable care for the health & safety of themselves and of those who may be affected by their acts or omissions.
- Correct use of hazardous substances including handling, storage, use, disposal, emergency preparedness and response and personal health checks.
- Report accidents, incidents, near misses, complaints, and recommended actions.
- Achieve works scheduled. Communicate with Commissioning Department Head where plans cannot be achieved. If on arrival at site access cannot be gained, then contact the site contact for further instructions.
- Comply with customer's access and security requirements, and other site rules.
- Provide services as per training, instruction and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Control and maintenance of site records.
- Prompt submission of work reports, risk assessments and work sheets in accordance with agreed SLA.
- Prompt submission of vehicle mileage, time sheets, expenses and other required information in accordance with agreed SLA.
- Check equipment through pre-use checks and maintenance.
- Ensure that all defects in any equipment are identified and any equipment prevented from use until repaired or replaced.
- Report the loss or theft of equipment immediately to the Company and to the police if required.
- Not to misuse any equipment issued to protect individuals or others health or safety or that of the environment.
- Ensure that all Rock Compliance equipment including all hire equipment is removed from site or made secure on site & / or suitable arrangements made for collection. Engineer is responsible for all work equipment for each job. Signed collection notes for all equipment, materials, and tools whether hired, borrowed or returned must be obtained in order to pass on responsibility.
Required Skills :
Minimum of 2 years' experience within an associated industryKnowledge to work safely on mechanical systemsBe familiar with precautionary techniques and safety equipmentBe familiar with Industry codes of practiceUnderstand the inspection, testing, verification, certification and reporting procedures for the range of electrical services undertakenAbility to follow reasonable instruction to do with your work; and to be able to work on own initiative.Good verbal and written communication skillsComputer literacy a benefit.Work towards Technical skills as defined on Skills MatrixKnowledge to work safely on electrical systems.A full clean driving license is requiredYou may be required to travel around your region with the need for an occasional overnight stayDue to the nature of some of our clients, a DBS check will be conducted on all of our new starters.Company Benefits :
