Pre-Sales Technical Consultant

An award-winning software house that specialises in Engineering CAD software have an immediate requirement for a Pre-Sales Technical Consultant to join them.

Salary : Circa £50,000 + bonus OTE £65,000 + excellent benefits

As pre-sales technical consultant your main role will be to present / demo the software to potential clients and assist with technical support throughout the sales cycle and beyond. You will be working closely with the sales team from within the consultancy team and become the technical expert for my client.

An engineering background and successful track record of hi-tech pre-sales and technical support is essential for this role.

This role would suit a design engineer or project manager who has moved into sales or sales support or similar background with a CAD / Engineering background.

• A degree in an Engineering Computing related discipline, (e.g. Product Design, Engineering, Computing, Physics, etc)
• Experience of engineering in the Automotive, Aerospace or UK Defence sectors, gained by either working in an end user engineering environment or through working within the CAD / PLM / PDM software arena for a software vendor or one of their partners
• An understanding of 3D geometry and CAD
• A successful track record of hi-tech pre-sales and technical support
• Knowledge and experience of project management approaches and methodologies
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• A positive attitude and enthusiasm to work
• An ability to work under own initiative
• An ability to prioritize and manage own workload
• An ability to grasp new information quickly and apply it
• A desire to develop a career within a rapidly changing business

This role may require the successful candidate to undertake travel in the UK and overseas, you must be comfortable with flying and a driving license would be a distinct advantage.
