Location : Powys

Contract : Full-Time (37 hours / week)

Start Date : 05 / 05 / 2025

End Date : 28 / 07 / 2025

Hours : 07 : 00 - 15 : 00

Salary : £13.46-£17.43

What You’ll Do

As an HGV Driver in our Waste and Recycling Commercial Service, you’ll :

  • Drive HGV vehicles (Class C+E and / or C1+E) to collect waste and recycling across Powys.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Manually handle and manoeuvre bins of various sizes to and from sites and the lorry.
  • Follow safe systems of work, adhering to risk assessments and council policies.
  • Plan and organize your workload to ensure efficient and timely collections.
  • Contribute to Powys’ reputation as a leader in recycling and environmental care.
  • Who We’re Looking For

    We’re seeking drivers who are :

  • Qualified : Hold a valid HGV (Class C+E and / or C1+E) driving licence, including CPC (essential).
  • Physically Fit : Able to perform manual handling tasks, including moving bins of various sizes (essential).
  • Self-Motivated : Capable of planning and organizing workloads while prioritizing safety (essential).
  • Experienced (Preferred) : Knowledge of waste and recycling collections, activities, or systems is a bonus.
  • Team Players : Ready to join a committed crew and take pride in serving the Powys community.
