Responsibilities

As a Senior Associate of Index Management Research, you will play a key role in developing and enhancing ESG and Climate index methodologies and investment solutions across asset classes. You will work with a team responding to client inquiries related to ESG and Climate index methodologies, including significant client interaction both in person and virtually. Your responsibilities include managing all aspects of index rebalancing and ensuring data accuracy sent to clients.

You will also be involved in general index management research, such as policy research and assisting in new product development. Your specific duties will include :

  • Responding to client queries on index methodology and research within your region.
  • Discussing a wide range of index methodology topics across our offerings, focusing on ESG / Climate, ensuring methodologies incorporate latest trends and regulations, and are robust and aligned with market practices.
  • Owning ESG / Climate indexes and managing their lifecycle, including rebalancing and error mitigation.
  • Contributing to client consultations and engagement efforts.
  • Acting as liaison between internal teams like ESG Research, Product Management, Coverage, IT, and DCS to manage projects and contribute to research and organizational goals.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • 5-7 years of relevant industry experience; ESG / Climate experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of equity index investing and construction, with additional asset class knowledge preferred.
  • Understanding of index maintenance and portfolio management / replication concepts across asset classes.
  • Experience working on a Portfolio Management desk at an Asset Manager is advantageous.
  • Extensive client interaction experience is essential.
  • Strong quantitative skills, including proficiency in Python.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
