We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Electrician to work within a leading company at one of their new factories. You will benefit from helping with the whole set-up, installation and commissioning of new machinery into the factory, followed by supporting maintenance (planned & reactive) of them once installed. You will also receive training and get up to speed on the latest Programmable Logic Controllers and Robotics to ensure your every success and future within the company and maintenance team.
Responsibilities
Your first 6 months will be spent assisting with a large and new £30m+ project that includes the installation and commissioning of various machines and equipment into the factory.
Once installed and it's up and running, you will be maintaining these machines in all aspects of trouble shooting, problem solving and project work. You will be required to look for and implement continuous improvements individually and as part of a team. In addition, you will also be required to plan and carry out preventative maintenance in order to ensure a high standard of plant maintenance is always achieved. You will be required to assist in all maintenance activities on site. The successful candidate will be working as part of the electrical maintenance team ensuring that all electrical plant equipment is operating efficiently with the minimum amount of downtime and in a safe order. You will also be required to adhere to strict health and safety requirements at all times.
The role will include anything electrical, including sensors, motors, variable speed drives, contactors, relays, inverters and PLC’s. – any experience of some of these will be highly desirable.
