The Senior Consultant role in Corporate Actions is a balance between high level operational execution and development, and the execution of strategic direction for business function activities.

The preferred candidate will utilise their knowledge and experience of in-market workings and intricacies to ensure that all transactions, instructions, and communications are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Additional responsibilities include :

  • Ensuring a strong `risk and control’ culture exists amongst the team such that operational risk is inherently reduced and any potential risk situations are promptly identified and escalated
  • Reviewing and releasing process performed by the team
  • Managing daily workflow volumes
  • Assisting staff with technical queries and providing coaching in the research and resolution of complex issues
  • Carrying out complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and / or ambiguous issues
  • Participating in system enhancement projects and overseeing process improvement initiatives through to implementation
  • Operating independently as a subject area expert, providing comprehensive, in-depth consulting and partnering at a high technical level
  • Carrying out activities that are large in scope, cross-functional and technically difficult

The preferred candidate should have a fair amount of the following qualities :

  • Prior experience in voluntary Corporate Actions (end to end) gained within financial services or a similar environment
  • Strong technical knowledge in respect to the principles and market practices of Corporate Actions.
  • Knowledge of Corporate Actions within EMEA markets, including UK and Euroclear
  • Strong SWIFT knowledge
  • Knowledge of Crest GUI and Easy way
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize multiple deliverables and work independently
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal, non-verbal and written
  • Proven proficiency with Microsoft Excel
